I actually think the fins shouldnt be purchased without the fin saver upgrade. Other than saving your fins from coming off in the big stuff, they make the fin super comfortable to wear. Sessions can be longer and just plain comfortable to be in.
Only used a few times so would like to spend a few more hours in the ocean before a proper review. Being a body boarder their was a few things I noticed straight off the bat the vissla 8.0 is the lightest fin I’ve ever used to the point I wasn’t sure anything was in the box when they was delivered, they also are the stiffest! most fins I use flex then recoil to get momentum these are more a rigid momentum which isn’t a bad thing my abs felt they had a great work out which I don’t normally get!. Not as buoyant as other fins can’t stand up in the ocean and float but who cares really a gentle kick will keep your head above water. Had no problem getting on to waves! Haven’t any real swell apart from wind slop so can’t really comment on rail control or catching the bigger stuff. First impressions are a super comfortable, well built fin, with good projection speed. New favourite fin of all time?They definitely have potential too! We will have to see!
Instantly transformed by bodysurfing into being Mark Cunningham. The addition of the fin keepers makes them super comfortable and the right amount of surface area and flex keeps me getting into waves early with plenty of control. Love them
